hello, i wonder can anyone help me? With the terrible weather we keep having my shire keeps getting thrush, it was so bad the other week that he had maggots!! wHICH WERE PROMPTLY REMOVED!! Does anyone know of any great products to treat the thrush. He lives out and cannot live in so i cant stop his feet getting wet!!

Sorry i don't really have any experience with thrush but if its so bad i think it may be a job for the vet!

Sorry i can't be of any more help hun, maybe someone else has more of an idea?

my friend finds the best thing to use on her cob, which is prone to thrush, is diluted disinfectant.

If you ask at you tack shop then they normally have a lot of things you can try. I use a herbal hoof oil that is made to treat and prevent thrush it is really good, unfortunatly the label came off ages ago so I don't know the name.

The only other advice I can give is to pick out the feet at least twice a day and keep them as clean and dry as possible. It may be worth talkin to you vet just for a bit more advice.

The other thing I have used for loads of stuff is camrosa it is brill.
